Kindergarten/ Transitional Kindergarten
As children reach school age, our comprehensive kindergarten program helps them explore, communicate and create – all in a nurturing, small-class setting. This program offers reading, language arts, math, social studies and science presented in a fun way to encourage a lifelong love of learning while giving the child one more year of walking with Jesus in a Christian Environment. Curriculum is aligned with local and state elementary school standards so children will be prepared to confidently enter kindergarten or first grade.
This class is designed for children who will be entering Kindergarten the following year. Our program gets the child ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. Small-group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and large group activities help children gain the right skills to move on to Kindergarten.
This class, designed for the 18-month-old through young/early two-year-old, focuses on developing friendships, self-esteem, curiosity, social skills, and attention span. At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. As two-year-olds begin to exert their independence, our Beginning Preschool program opens their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring.
Based on the theory that children learn through play, classroom routines encourage active involvement, meaningful experimentation, and reinforcement through repetition, group and individual activities, circle time and more. The sessions are flexible as the needs and interests of the children are the basis of our curriculum.
