Stay and Play (8:30-3:30)
This class, designed for the 18-month-old through young/early two-year-old, focuses on developing friendships, self-esteem, curiosity, social skills, and attention span. At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. As two-year-olds begin to exert their independence, our Beginning Preschool program opens their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring.

Indoor free choice activities include: housekeeping center, block play, science table, book corner, creative arts and table toys.
Teacher planned activities include: cooking, creative arts, communication skills, language development, music, literature and science.
Outdoor activities include: wheel toys, garden, sand, water play, easel painting, perceptual developmental, various climbing activities, blocks and creative arts.
Music: We've introduced a new music program as part of our curriculum. We feel that music is an important part of a preschoolers' development. The children have a blast singing and playing instruments with our dedicated music instructors, Little Rockstars.
Chapel Time: All classes gather once per week, in the Church Sanctuary, for worship, prayer and Bible story time.
Gymnastics: Gymnastics classes provided by Elite MobileGym Kids, using developmentally appropriate activities to develop and strengthen gross motor skills.
Kindergarten/ Transitional Kindergarten
Based on the theory that children learn through play, classroom routines encourage active involvement, meaningful experimentation, and reinforcement through repetition, group and individual activities, circle time and more. The sessions are flexible as the needs and interests of the children are the basis of our curriculum.
Yorba Linda United Methodist Church Preschool and Kindergarten
During Stay & Play, young children will nap and upon waking up on their own, will be given a snack and time to play. Older children will have a quiet rest time followed by an afternoon lesson and/or activity,and a snack and play time.
Extended Afternoon - Pick up by 5:00 p.m.
A time to share a meal with our friends where parents either order a hot lunch in the office, or send a lunch from home. We are a PEANUT FREE SCHOOL. The Lunch Bunch time period is included in the Stay and Play and Full Day price options.You may add the Lunch Bunch time period yearly, monthly, or weekly.
As children reach school age, our comprehensive kindergarten program helps them explore, communicate and create – all in a nurturing, small-class setting. This program offers reading, language arts, math, social studies and science presented in a fun way to encourage a lifelong love of learning while giving the child one more year of walking with Jesus in a Christian Environment. Curriculum is aligned with local and state elementary school standards so children will be prepared to confidently enter kindergarten or first grade.
This class is designed for children who will be entering Kindergarten the following year. Our program gets the child ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. Small-group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and large group activities help children gain the right skills to move on to Kindergarten.

Our Extended Afternoon provides children the extra opportunity to learn by discovery and exploration in a structured setting. Daily, weekly and monthly lesson plans coincide with the child’s morning preschool program and monthly themes. Lessons Include music and movement, science, cooking, large motor and sport skills, and more.
